SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The (RV) Dakota State University women's cross-country team finished ninth out of 17 teams in the Dordt (Iowa) Holiday Inn Express Classic 6K race at the Dordt campus. The Trojans ran against a deep field featuring NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA-ranked programs in cool 50-degree conditions.
Dakota State delivered a record-breaking team effort, with six runners recording both their best 6K team time of the season and in school history. Four Trojans ran 6K personal records, while three others posted season bests.
NCAA Division II Minnesota State-Mankato won the team title with 28 points, followed by host-team No. 9 ranked Dordt (Iowa) second with 59 points and NCAA Division I South Dakota State third with 76 points.
The Trojans totaled 270 team points with a tight 1–5 spread of just 46 seconds (1:55:19 total).

Beaucaire's time is still the second fastest 6K time in Dakota State women's cross country program history. Roth followed up with the third fastest 6K in school history, while Willnerd posted the fifth fastest 6K in DSU's history. Curikova produced the seventh fastest time in the record book, followed by Miller with the eighth fastest time. Sylva registered the 14
th fastest time in the school record book.
Next Up
Dakota State takes a week off before their final regular season meet on Saturday, Oct. 25. The Trojans head to Ashland, Neb., to run in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic, hosted by Doane (Neb.) and College of Saint Mary (Neb.). The meet starts at 10 a.m.
